Role Overview

This full-time position, based onsite in Rockhampton, Queensland, involves working closely with clients to facilitate their job search, career progression, and workplace success. Interaction occurs through personalized coaching sessions, group workshops, and practical support.

Primary Duties

• Evaluate clients' skills and interests to assist in setting reasonable employment objectives.
• Provide support in creating resumes and cover letters, as well as guidance on interviews and job search techniques.
• Engage with employers to advocate for clients and support job placement and retention.
• Keep detailed records and collaborate with team members and community partners.
• Contribute to ongoing enhancement of coaching programs and materials.

Qualifications and Skills

• Capability to deliver structured job coaching, including goal setting, progress monitoring, and constructive feedback.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build trust, motivate clients, and liaise effectively with employers and stakeholders.
• Understanding of the local labor market, recruitment processes, and employer expectations within Rockhampton and the surrounding regional areas.
• Competence in managing caseloads, maintaining accurate documentation, and utilizing digital tools for scheduling, reporting, and communication.
• Dedication to practicing inclusivity and non-discrimination, with the ability to support a diverse client base.
• Preferred: background in employment services, vocational rehabilitation, or community services; possession of a current driver's license and capacity for local travel.
