Job description
Role Overview
We are currently looking for an exceptionally organized and detail-focused Accounts & Payroll Executive to help manage the daily financial functions of our company. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities including managing accounts payable and receivable, handling payroll operations, and providing financial reporting within a dynamic working environment.
The selected individual will be proficient in overseeing financial data management, ensuring record accuracy, and delivering timely and clear financial reports. The position calls for frequent communication with employees, contractors, and external parties, necessitating strong interpersonal skills and a proactive mindset.
This is a permanent full-time position based in our Dublin offices with a hybrid work arrangement.
Key Duties
- Generate and distribute monthly sales invoices.
- Handle processing and recording of supplier and expense invoices.
- Cross-verify supplier invoices with timesheets and purchase orders.
- Organize payment runs for staff, contractors, and vendors.
- Execute monthly payroll processing through BrightPay or similar software.
- Prepare VAT returns ensuring adherence to all statutory obligations.
- Maintain and post recurring monthly accounting journal entries.
- Compute and monitor client rebates.
- Review and authorize employee expense claims.
- Manage queries related to internal and external financial matters.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of debtor ledgers.
- Post and allocate daily cashbook transactions to respective debtor and creditor ledgers.
- Investigate and resolve inconsistencies between purchase orders and invoices.
- Conduct bank reconciliations for all accounts.
- Prepare periodic sales and financial reports for management review.
- Calculate monthly commission payments for sales personnel.
- Support analysis comparing budgeted figures against actual performance.
- Assist with contractor billing and associated financial processing.
- Provide support for miscellaneous finance tasks and reporting as required.
Candidate Profile
- At least five years of experience in a comparable finance role.
- Proficient in using Xero accounting software.
- Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with payroll systems like BrightPay is a plus.
- Demonstrated high attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Strong organisational and time management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and show initiative.
