Job Overview

Boxleo Courier & Fulfillment Services Limited is seeking a skilled Accountant based in Tanzania to manage and oversee the company's financial operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Execute routine accounting tasks including reconciling balance sheet accounts and maintaining general ledger records.
• Create journal entries, monthly closing statements, financial reports, and conduct bank reconciliations.
• Perform comprehensive financial analysis and manage financial reporting and overall finance functions.
• Validate transactions ensuring accurate reflection in the general ledger.
• Enhance and review accounting systems, tools, and procedures to promote efficiency.
• Examine financial documents and processes, suggest improvements, and implement necessary changes.
• Manage payments, bank transfers, and all banking dealings.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.
• Ensure timely and precise month-end and year-end account closing activities, including submission of reports to the Chief Finance Officer within deadlines.
• Identify and resolve any invoicing errors, accounting inconsistencies, and other finance-related issues.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline from a recognized institution.
• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA-T are advantageous.
• At least three years of pertinent experience in finance and accounting.
• In-depth knowledge of Tanzanian financial regulations, tax laws, reporting standards, and compliance.
• Proficiency with accounting software like Tally, QuickBooks, Pastel, or ERP systems, alongside advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience producing accurate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a team-oriented approach.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and dedication to responsible financial management.
• Experience in courier, logistics, or related sectors preferred.
