About the Company and Position
Weddell Agrilabs seeks a meticulous and dependable Accountant to oversee daily accounting functions, preserve financial documentation, and guarantee adherence to statutory obligations. This role requires solid familiarity with Tally software, GST regulations, and standard accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily financial records using Tally software.
- Record transactions including purchases, sales, payments, receipts, and journal entries accurately.
- Generate GST invoices, e-way bills, and electronic invoices as necessary.
- Manage GST returns, Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), and other statutory compliances effectively.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and maintain detailed cash and bank statements.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management information system (MIS) reports.
- Liaise with auditors, Chartered Accountants, vendors, and customers for smooth financial operations.
- Maintain comprehensive inventory and stock accounting records.
- Ensure systematic filing of all accounting documents and vouchers.
- Assist management with financial analysis and budgeting efforts.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possess a B.Com, M.Com, or an equivalent degree.
- Have between 2 to 5 years of practical accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime software and Microsoft Excel.
- Understand GST, TDS, and foundational tax regulations.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.
- Exhibit high accuracy, integrity, and careful attention to detail.
