The Role

We are looking for a diligent and client-oriented Accountant to handle accounting activities for multiple client companies across various industries. Prior experience in corporate services, accounting, audit, or consultancy environments dealing with diverse client portfolios is highly valued. The candidate must be adept at navigating and fulfilling UAE accounting and tax obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the entire accounting process for numerous clients including bookkeeping, journal entries, reconciliations, and month/year-end closures.
• Prepare financial reports compliant with IFRS and IFRS for SMEs standards.
• Manage VAT obligations such as registrations, filings, refunds, voluntary disclosures, and compliance with Federal Tax Authority via EmaraTax.
• Handle Corporate Tax registrations, calculation, filing, assess Small Business Relief, and maintain supporting documents.
• Create management accounting reports, cash flow statements, and financial analyses for clients.
• Support new company setups by developing accounting frameworks and charts of accounts.
• Coordinate with auditors, banking institutions, government bodies, and Free Zone authorities.
• Assist clients during VAT, Corporate Tax, and compliance audits.
• Maintain up-to-date accounting policies, internal controls, and compliance files.
• Provide clients with practical accounting and tax advice through professional communication.
• Stay informed about updates in UAE accounting, VAT, and Corporate Tax laws.
• Effectively juggle multiple deadlines while ensuring high-quality client service.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional certification like CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent is preferable.
• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years within the UAE landscape.
• Hands-on experience in corporate service providers, audit, consultancy, or accounting firms handling multiple clients.
• Robust understanding of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax legislation, and IFRS / IFRS for SMEs standards.
• Knowledge of various UAE jurisdictions including DMCC, IFZA, JAFZA, ADGM, DIFC, RAK ICC.
• Proficiency in ERP and accounting software such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Tally.
• Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication skills, and expertise in managing client relationships.
• High ethical standards, confidentiality, and accountability.
