About the Company
Amcor Flexibles EMEA, Meat & Dairy Business Unit, is dedicated to offering strategic and tactical sales leadership and communication plans to boost and maintain existing customer relationships, cultivate new business opportunities, and enhance profitability.
Role Overview
The Account Manager will prioritize growing and retaining designated accounts by increasing share of wallet and implementing long-term strategies. Close collaboration with Marketing and Commercial Excellence teams will support the development of thorough account plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain deep insights into both immediate and future customer needs, aligning opportunities with Amcor's product portfolio.
- Create and maintain strategic development plans for assigned accounts.
- Build and sustain strong connections with principal decision makers within assigned accounts.
- Identify additional influencers beyond purchasing departments and develop relationship maps to ensure alignment with strategic and tactical goals.
- Consistently update business plans and customer strategies using Amcor's specialized tools.
- Work closely with R&D, Marketing, and Operations teams to execute account strategies successfully.
- Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to monitor account demand accuracy through data analysis.
- Agree on and promote sustainability and innovation pathways with customers in a cross-functional manner.
- Track performance versus targets for volume and margins, taking corrective actions to sales initiatives when required.
- Understand customer and prospect needs and respond with plans and value propositions based on value selling principles.
- Develop strategic and marketing approaches for the business on both short- and long-term horizons.
- Champion the use of salesforce.com, PMDB, ANPos, and other ValuePlus tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Sales, Engineering, MBA, or a related field.
- At least five years working experience in a large-scale B2B sales environment.
- Industry experience preferably in packaging or the meat sector.
- A demonstrated history of boosting sales growth and profitability.
- Strong project and process management capabilities.
Required Skills
- Fluent in both German and English languages.
- Proven ability to convert strategy into executable plans.
- Customer-focused with a strong results-driven mindset.
- Effective negotiation and decisive decision-making skills, coupled with the ability to drive outcomes.
- Competent in analyzing business data including pricing, margins, and KPIs, using various analytic tools.
- Adept at interacting with diverse internal and external stakeholders and comfortable navigating matrix organizational structures.
- Capable of quickly understanding complex organizational frameworks and adapting to changing industry conditions.
- Insightful about brand customer needs and growth drivers.
- A strong track record of generating regional business growth.
Additional Information
