Role Overview
The Academic Counselor will engage with prospective students and their parents to identify educational goals and career aspirations. This role involves assessing student readiness for admission, providing initial information about courses, and managing records of interactions and lead progress.
Primary Duties
- Engage with prospective students and parents to understand their educational objectives and career interests.
- Evaluate the suitability and readiness of leads for course admission.
- Communicate essential details about courses offered.
- Maintain accurate documentation of calls and update lead statuses regularly.
- Collaborate with the counseling and sales teams to ensure smooth lead progression.
- Forward qualified leads for detailed counseling sessions.
Candidate Qualifications
- A graduate degree in any field is mandatory.
- Additional qualifications in Education, Psychology, Information Technology, or related disciplines are advantageous.
- Previous experience in academic counseling or student support roles is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of IT courses and career pathways is required.
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho is essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for this position.
