About the internship

Safalta Setu is a purpose-led initiative that works to connect children of Armed Forces personnel with meaningful industry opportunities. The team focuses on mentorship, career direction, and professional networking, and is guided by IIT alumni. Alongside its mission work, the organization creates and sells book-related products to help fund its outreach.

This internship is structured to give practical exposure and help you build portfolio-worthy work. Although the role is unpaid, it is designed to offer real project experience in a creative environment.

What you will work on

• Build stylized “2D plus” worlds in Unreal Engine 5, shaping scenes that support the story rather than simply arranging assets.
• Handle cinematic lighting and framing, including hero shots and scene setup using tools such as Lumen and Path Tracing.
• Create efficient workflows for character posing and environment changes so a 40-page story remains visually consistent throughout.
• Prepare, refine, optimize, and kitbash assets so the final output is clean and suitable for print-ready delivery.

Who can apply

This opportunity is open only to candidates who can work from home, are able to begin between 4 July 2026 and 8 August 2026, can commit for 4 months, and have relevant skills and interest in the role. Women looking to start or restart their careers are also welcome to apply. Candidates currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher may apply, and Computer Science Engineering students are specifically mentioned as eligible.

Compensation
