Job description
About Foundation Marketing
Foundation Marketing is an AI-focused visibility marketing agency dedicated to boosting pipeline growth for mid-market and enterprise B2B technology and SaaS companies. The agency specializes in content crafted to be distributed across language learning models, search engines, social media, and community platforms such as Reddit, targeting the channels that buyers actively use.
Role Overview
This position suits an individual with substantial experience in producing, reviewing, or directing video content within agency, in-house brand, or media settings. The role requires a strong emphasis on brand and creative quality assurance with at least one year of dedicated focus. Candidates must showcase experience specifically in B2B or professional audience videos and proficiency with YouTube Studio analytics and various production and design tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Critically evaluate scripts for effectiveness including hook strength, pacing, and structure to ensure viewer retention, separate from brief compliance.
- Assess finished video edits to confirm adherence to brand standards covering visuals, tone, pacing, and overall quality before client submission.
- Deliver clear, actionable feedback to production partners and creators, maintaining ongoing tracking of feedback implementation.
- Review and approve video titles and thumbnails for suitability with brand and packaging standards, applying an initial GEO checklist.
- Serve as the final quality gate prior to client approval, ensuring all content meets specified criteria.
- Collaborate with coordinators and account managers to flag consistent quality issues with creators or external partners to inform resource decisions.
- Participate in strategy discussions related to GEO/YouTube, proactively addressing potential script or video production concerns early in the process.
- Maintain concise records of reviewed and approved content per client to enable status checks without direct involvement.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum three years of experience in video content reviewing, producing, or directing; at least one year including roles focused on brand or creative quality assurance.
- A demonstrable portfolio or history that illustrates video review against brand standards rather than simple editing capabilities.
- Experience producing or reviewing content directed at B2B or professional target audiences rather than consumer markets.
- Strong understanding of YouTube Studio analytics—ability to interpret retention curves, click-through rates (CTR), and identify video drop-off points.
- Familiarity with video review tools such as Frame.io and project management platforms like ClickUp, Asana, or Monday.
- Basic proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Photoshop, or Canva for feedback on thumbnails and packaging.
- Regular use of AI productivity tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) in script reviewing, feedback generation, or quality assurance workflows.
- Ability to instantly identify and explain issues in script hooks, pacing, and structure with practical guidance for creators.
- Sharp eye for finished video quality, recognizing when thumbnails, cuts, or pacing do not align with brand standards.
- Capability to maintain consistent brand quality across multiple clients and production teams simultaneously.
- Knowledge of GEO, AEO, or SEO principles as applied to video content, including AI content surfacing and citation.
- Experience managing content review processes involving external production partners or agencies.
Location & Work Hours
- This is a fully remote role.
- Preferred candidates located in Canada, LATAM, or Europe; exceptional candidates outside these regions will be considered if working hours overlap.
- Applicants must be able to provide 4–5 hours of daily work time overlapping Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary ranges from $34,000 to $54,000 CAD annually, depending on experience.
- On-target earnings (OTE) including team bonuses and profit-sharing range from $35,000 to $56,000 CAD per year.
- Compensation is adjusted according to role level, experience, and location following a transparent role × level × location framework.
- Residents in Canada receive a tech budget for equipment purchases.
- Employees enjoy 100% remote flexibility with a results-oriented work environment.
- All national holidays are observed regardless of employee location.
- After three months, employees qualify for at least two weeks paid vacation, wellness and fitness membership reimbursements (Canada only), education reimbursement through monthly stipends, and competitive medical and dental benefits (Canada only).
