We are seeking Weichenwärter:in (Switch Operators) for DB InfraGO AG at multiple locations including Eilenburg, Falkenberg/Elster, Leipzig, Torgau, and Zeitz.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safe and timely execution of shunting operations at mechanical signal boxes across specified railway yards.
- Set complete routes for trains by adjusting switches, routes, and signals to facilitate safe departures.
- Maintain communication with colleagues at neighboring signal boxes, train drivers, and control centers.
- Manage the issuance, receipt, and transmission of operational and schedule-related communications.
- Monitor and inspect track sections, initiating track closures during any disruptions.
Candidate Profile
- Experienced Weichenwärter:in with strong knowledge of mechanical signal box technology or a willingness to develop these skills.
- Exhibit responsible, reliable, and knowledgeable conduct, especially under pressure, with punctuality always maintained.
- Must possess operational service eligibility as a Weichenwärter:in.
- Willingness to work in shift patterns including nights, weekends, and holidays.
