Role Overview
The Warehouse Officer will oversee the receiving, storage, inventory management, and documentation processes for materials in a pharmaceutical warehouse setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage receipt and proper storage of all raw and packaging materials, ensuring handling aligns with standard procedures.
- Regularly verify received quantities and confirm that checklists and quarantine labels are applied in accordance with SOP.
- Ensure hazardous materials are correctly labeled on their containers with appropriate warning labels.
- Coordinate the loaning and returning of materials effectively.
- Prepare Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and Material Receipt Reports (MRRs) for raw and packaging materials daily, on the same day as receipt.
- Enter all MRRs released into the system and track physical transfer of released raw materials.
- Liaise with purchase, imports, and planning departments to obtain necessary documents for incoming raw and packaging materials.
- Ensure raw materials are stored in their assigned locations within the warehouse.
- Maintain a logbook recording receipts, balances, and cleanliness activities.
- Keep records of warehouse temperature consistently.
- Maintain organized storage of raw materials, ensuring good housekeeping, GMP compliance, safety standards, and industrial hygiene.
- Monitor stock levels of all items and promptly report shortages or surpluses to the warehouse manager or seniors.
- Conduct daily calibration checks and standardization of weighing scales and balances, keeping records current.
- Prepare Internal Material Transfer Requests (IMTR) and Material Transfer Notes (MTN).
- Manage transfers of materials between plants as required.
- Assist with cycle counting of raw and packaging materials to verify inventory accuracy.
Knowledge and Experience
- Familiarity with receiving and storage procedures in compliance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP).
- Expertise in documentation related to raw and packaging materials consistent with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
Required Competencies
- Experience with ERP systems for inventory management.
- Proficient computer and inventory control skills.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
- 2 to 3 years of warehouse experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
