Waiter - Novikov

Role Overview

This position is for a full-time waiter at Novikov in West Bay, Doha, Qatar. The role is part of the Food and Beverage & Culinary function and is classified as a non-management position. It is an on-site role, not remote.

What You Will Do

You will provide table service for meals and beverages, including alcoholic drinks, while ensuring a polished guest experience. Duties include arranging tables to match the event type and service standards, guiding guests through menu choices, coordinating with the kitchen on menu questions, delays, remakes, and stock availability, and passing along allergy, dietary, and special meal requests. You will also enter orders into the MICROS system, check guest satisfaction throughout the service, keep service areas and equipment clean, complete closing tasks such as restocking and switching off lights, and present accurate checks for payment processing.

Service Standards and Conduct

The role requires strict compliance with company policies, safety rules, and security procedures. You must report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions promptly, attend required safety training and certifications, keep your uniform and appearance professional, protect confidential information and company property, and greet every guest warmly in line with brand standards. You will also need to anticipate guest needs, support guests with disabilities, communicate clearly and professionally, maintain positive teamwork, and help achieve shared service goals while meeting quality standards.

Physical and Work Requirements

This job involves extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking during a full shift. It also includes regular lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects up to 25 pounds without assistance and more than 50 pounds with assistance. The work may require handling objects of different sizes and weights, using fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, and moving across sloped, uneven, or slippery surfaces, including stairs and service ramps. You should also be able to reach above the head and below the knees, bend, twist, pull, and stoop as needed.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED-equivalent is preferred. The role asks for at least 1 year of relevant work experience. No supervisory background is needed, and no license or certification is required.
