About the Role
Gritter Francona seeks a skilled Voice Actor to deliver professional voice performances for animated educational videos supporting the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) National Center for PTSD. The role involves narrating and voicing characters to convey evidence-based content on trauma, PTSD, effective therapies, and related conditions. The performances must be engaging, compassionate, and accessible to diverse viewers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide narration and character voices for animated educational and multimedia content.
- Interpret approved scripts to clearly and naturally communicate complex behavioral health information.
- Maintain scientific accuracy and professionalism while delivering performances with appropriate tone, pacing, and emotion.
- Adjust vocal style and delivery to suit varied audiences such as veterans, trauma survivors, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, producers, directors, scriptwriters, subject matter experts, and government stakeholders during recordings.
- Participate in rehearsals, retakes, and revisions to ensure top-quality output.
- Accurately pronounce medical, clinical, and technical terms throughout recordings.
- Follow directions on pacing, emphasis, timing, and emotion to support animation syncing and messaging.
- Maintain professionalism during studio and remote sessions, adhering to schedules and deadlines.
- Ensure all performances are trauma-informed, respectful, culturally sensitive, and appropriate for audiences with varied traumatic experiences.
- Assist with quality assurance by reviewing recordings and cooperating during revisions for final government approval.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least three years of professional voice acting or narration experience relevant to this type of educational multimedia content.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality voice recordings for animation or comparable educational productions.
