Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled video editor who excels in dynamic editing, capable of creating engaging videos that maintain strong viewer retention by selecting footage based on meaningful storytelling rather than just appearance. The ideal candidate should be proficient in independently sourcing materials such as stock footage, B-roll, memes, references, and AI-generated visuals to produce compelling short-form videos.

Responsibilities and Skills

• Apply dynamic editing techniques including pacing, hooks, rhythm, and audience retention strategies.
• Edit videos emphasizing the narrative and message, beyond just the visual or musical elements.
• Locate and select supplementary footage like B-roll and stock clips without assistance.
• Create content suitable for short-form platforms like Reels, Shorts, TikTok, and advertisements.
• Incorporate captions, subtitles, motion graphics, zoom effects, transitions, and highlights effectively.
• Execute attention-grabbing openings within the first 3 to 5 seconds of videos.
• Produce video projects promptly and efficiently incorporate feedback for improvements.
• Advantageous: familiarity with AI-based tools for generating or sourcing visual content.
