Video Editor (Contract, Remote)

About the Role

Crossing Hurdles is seeking a remote Content Editor on a contract basis to dedicate between 10 and 40 hours per week. The primary responsibility is to craft and refine video material tailored for micro1's social media presence, specifically developing horizontal videos optimized for YouTube, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit and upgrade video content to enhance viewer engagement on multiple social media platforms.
• Develop captivating hooks, animated captions, motion graphics, and visually appealing components to boost watch duration.
• Integrate supplementary video elements such as B-roll footage, sound effects, seamless transitions, speed adjustments, zoom effects, punch-ins, and text animations as demanded by the content.
• Fine-tune pacing, select suitable background music, and adjust audio levels to produce polished content that aligns with current social media trends and maximizes viewer retention.
• Work collaboratively with a marketing team remotely to understand creative guidelines and deliver final content that meets campaign goals.
• Maintain orderly project files and manage deliverables methodically throughout editing workflows.

Candidate Requirements

• Substantial experience editing videos for platforms including YouTube, X, and LinkedIn with a portfolio demonstrating effectiveness.
• Expert-level skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or comparable professional editing tools.
• Familiarity with motion graphics design is highly advantageous.
• Effective communication skills to interpret creative briefs precisely and integrate constructive feedback into revisions.
• Proven ability to deliver engaging video content using dynamic hooks, jump cuts, graphic overlays, and stylish text animations.
