About the Role
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Video Editor to join our dog boarding, training, and grooming center located in Bangalore. This role involves transforming daily footage related to dog training, boarding, grooming, and educational content into captivating social media videos tailored for platforms like Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit videos including Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and promotional content
- Create engaging short-form videos from raw footage of dogs, training sessions, grooming, and boarding activities
- Add captions, subtitles, music, sound effects, transitions, and hooks to enhance viewer engagement
- Develop videos optimized for retention, shares, and audience engagement consistent with short-form social media content trends
- Maintain brand style and storytelling consistency throughout all video outputs
- Select the most compelling scenes from longer footage to produce engaging short clips
- Collaborate closely with the dog trainer or behaviorist to accurately convey the intended story and message
- Stay updated with current trends on Instagram and YouTube
- Ensure timely delivery of all video projects
Requirements
- Proficiency with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar software
- Strong familiarity with Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts features and best practices
- Excellent sense of timing, storytelling, music integration, and visual composition
- Capability to craft attention-grabbing hooks within the first few seconds of videos
- Basic understanding of social media algorithms and trends
- High creativity and keen attention to detail
- Passion for dogs and comfort working around animals is highly advantageous
