Job Overview
As a Travel Consultant at Red Sea Aviation, you will be responsible for managing client travel bookings, ticket issuance, and ensuring efficient travel coordination. The role demands precision, excellent customer service, and expertise in airline reservation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage flight reservations and ticket issuance using Galileo and other global distribution systems (GDS).
- Provide clients with precise fare quotes, rebooking options, and detailed travel itineraries.
- Address customer inquiries about flight schedules, ticket fares, baggage policies, and travel requirements.
- Handle payment processing, refunds, cancellations, and ticket revalidations in line with company and airline protocols.
- Stay informed about airline promotions, special offers, and relevant travel regulations.
- Compile and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales and activity reports for management review.
- Collaborate with operations and customer service departments to ensure smooth travel arrangements.
- Resolve customer complaints promptly to enhance satisfaction levels.
- Ensure adherence to IATA, airline, and company standards in all ticketing tasks.
- Maintain professional communication and provide superior customer service consistently.
- Utilize practical experience from IATA-certified travel agency operations to uphold international service standards.
- Exhibit advanced proficiency in Galileo and other booking platforms to handle complex travel itineraries.
- Communicate effectively in English with international clients, ensuring clear and professional interactions.
- Manage high call volumes efficiently with solid call center experience.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Degree or diploma with IATA foundation certification in Travel & Tourism, or reservation and airline ticketing.
- Between 8 to 10 years of practical experience at an IATA-accredited travel agency.
- Mandatory proficiency and certification in Galileo reservation systems.
- Hands-on experience with airline reservation and ticketing systems.
- Strong background in handling call center operations.
- Excellent communication abilities in both English and Amharic; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Demonstrated excellent customer service and problem-solving capabilities.
- Capacity to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

The position is full-time and based onsite at the company's Addis Ababa location. Salary is negotiable.
