Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position is for a foreign travel agent based in Zanzibar Urban/West, Tanzania. The travel agent will manage daily travel arrangements for both individual and corporate clients by booking flights, accommodations, and ground transportation aligned with Bamba guide trips.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and coordinate travel plans including flights, lodging, and local transportation for clients.
• Provide expert advice to clients concerning travel options, itineraries, pricing, and policies.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of bookings according to company and supplier rules.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and travel service providers to address queries and resolve any issues.
• Keep detailed records of client travel information and monitor travel schedules.
• Support overall travel management functions in partnership with travel operators like Bamba guide trip and Al Rahman Treasury Plus.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Skills in planning, coordinating, and finalizing travel itineraries efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills to professionally engage clients and vendors.
• Knowledge or experience in managing business travel including corporate bookings, travel policies, and budgeting.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with booking platforms or global distribution systems (GDS).
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate bookings and documentation.
• Previous experience in a travel agency or client-facing role is advantageous.
• Awareness of regional and international travel destinations is preferred.
