Role overview

An opening is available for Transport Schedulers to join the Future Operations team in Northgate, Queensland. This position is part of a broader systems upgrade and operational change program, and it will contribute to building a stronger transport planning capability for the business.

The role centres on planning transport activity more than one day ahead and making sure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and reliably. It involves balancing customer needs, fleet availability, driver capacity, operational limits, and contractual obligations to produce practical transport plans that improve service outcomes and efficiency.

You will partner closely with Operations, Customer Service, Transport Solutions Specialists, Sales, and Fleet teams to support a proactive, data-led approach to planning and continuous improvement.

Key duties

  • Create and refine transport schedules, routes, and fleet allocations to improve efficiency and service performance.
  • Work with operational leaders and customer service teams so plans are workable, compliant, and aligned with Chain of Responsibility requirements.
  • Review operational data and planning metrics to spot trends, identify opportunities, and drive better performance.
  • Assist operations through clear communication, strong stakeholder engagement, and practical problem solving.

About you

You are likely someone who enjoys planning, organising complex work, and turning information into useful operational decisions. Experience in transport, logistics, waste management, FMCG, supply chain, or another fast-moving operational setting will be valuable.

You should be comfortable interpreting data, working across multiple stakeholders, and using planning tools to support transport efficiency.

Process and additional information

As part of recruitment, the company may conduct reference checks and verify qualifications, licences, and right-to-work status.
