Role Overview

The Traffic Marshall plays a critical role in managing the flow of delivery vans within the station premises to ensure safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide and monitor van movements safely inside and outside the warehouse area.
• Ensure adherence to traffic rules and safety standards, including speed limits and pedestrian zones.
• Park vans in assigned locations following driver check-in.
• Assist operational teams during the driver check-in and check-out procedures.
• Check delivery and vehicle documentation as necessary.
• Support audits by inspecting parcels loaded or unloaded from vans for inconsistencies.
• Help identify and locate missing or misplaced packages in vans and staging zones.
• Manage and prioritize workload focusing on bottlenecks affecting van traffic flow.
• Report any safety hazards, vehicle damage, or unresolved package concerns to supervisors promptly.
• Collaborate closely with warehouse staff and drivers to enhance operational workflow.
• Maintain health and safety compliance, promoting a hazard-free workplace.
• Implement and enforce safe working practices within the team.
• Carry out safety inspections and warehouse condition checks.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations when they arise.
• Assist with unloading trailers when required.
• Support package sorting supervision.
• Perform general housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• Complete other tasks as assigned to support operations.
