Overview
The Trade Marketing Manager plays a crucial role in connecting Marketing and Sales by ensuring that brand strategies are successfully implemented at the retail level. This position aims to enhance category growth through comprehensive planning, preparedness, and impeccable execution of trade marketing projects. Collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain departments reinforces business planning, market positioning, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Devise trade marketing strategies specifically for Frozen food solutions, aligning with overall business and brand objectives.
- Lead forecasting efforts, trade planning, and promotional readiness in partnership with Sales and Supply Chain to guarantee excellent execution.
- Ensure adherence to On-Shelf Availability (OSA) and Must-Stock List (MSL) standards as essential drivers of category advancement.
- Collaborate with Sales and Key Accounts to develop Joint Business Plans (JBP) that foster customer partnerships and support business goals.
- Perform value chain evaluations, margin analyses, and market research to uncover opportunities for improved efficiency, profitability, and sustained competitiveness.
- Implement trade activations, in-store displays, and visibility campaigns in accordance with trade marketing strategies.
- Supervise branch stock levels, OSA performance, and compliance with space allocations.
- Evaluate promotional success and return on investment, ensuring readiness and timely execution.
- Generate data-driven reports using Excel, analyzing historical data and insights to guide decisions.
- Assist in data processing to provide actionable insights for Sales and Trade Marketing teams.
- Work closely with Sales, Category Management, and Marketing teams to synchronize forecasts, promos, and execution strategies.
- Support sales field teams with analytical assistance to enhance trade activity implementation.
- Encourage a culture of teamwork, accountability, and preparedness across cross-functional teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related discipline; a master’s degree in Marketing or Trade Marketing is advantageous.
- 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in trade marketing or sales within the FMCG sector, ideally with a focus on Frozen Foods or the Food industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in trade planning, forecasting, and on-ground execution.
