Overview

An opportunity is available for an experienced, proactive Town Planner to join a team based in Casuarina, with the option to work from Lismore if preferred. The role is suited to someone who has worked in New South Wales, ideally along the north coast, and is keen to contribute to a diverse range of planning assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of planning assignments from start to finish.
  • Build and sustain effective working relationships with clients, stakeholders, and government bodies.
  • Deliver clear, accurate guidance to clients on planning and development matters.
  • Draft and assess Statements of Environmental Effects, Environmental Impact Statements, Planning Proposals, Modification Reports, Clause 4.6 Variations, and planning due diligence reports.

  • Keep projects on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality expectations.

Requirements

  • Formal tertiary study in town planning.
  • At least 3 years of professional town planning experience.
  • Previous work experience in New South Wales, preferably the north coast region.
  • Experience briefing and supervising external consultants.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to develop productive relationships with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and time management skills.
