Technologist - Contamination Control

Overview

Join Micron Technology's inclusive and innovative team as a Contamination Control Technician at FAB 10 in Singapore. In this critical role focused on environmental quality control, you will collaborate closely with Facilities, Equipment, Production, Fab support, and area engineering teams to maintain world-class contamination standards and ensure manufacturing process integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to Emergency Response Team and Security notifications, ensuring proper gowning logistics during evacuations.
• Monitor contamination alarms and promptly report irregular conditions to engineering and relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct environmental sampling within the Fab, including swabs and testing for bacteria, airborne and liquid particles, and molecular contaminants, coordinating with the chemical lab for timely analysis.
• Maintain real-time monitoring systems to verify proper operation and accurate recording of contamination data.
• Initiate primary investigations into contamination issues and analyzers, providing detailed contamination information for engineering review.
• Support contamination control engineering projects and special assignments as needed.
• Promote and enforce adherence to cleanroom protocols among team members.
• Serve as a contamination control resource across the Fab, Probe, Facilities, and related groups, contributing actively within assigned responsibilities.

Requirements

• Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Candidates without prior experience are welcome to apply.
• Capability to work effectively within a cleanroom environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
• Basic computer proficiency including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Analytical mindset with robust problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with analytical methods such as ion chromatography, gas chromatography, and particle analyzers is an advantage.
• Willingness and availability to work 12-hour shifts including night schedules.
