Technician, Maintenance (CNG Chillers)

Job Overview

This role involves the upkeep and repair of compressed natural gas (CNG) chiller systems, ensuring optimal function and adherence to safety standards at all times.

Primary Duties

• Conduct routine inspections and perform preventive maintenance on CNG chiller units to guarantee efficient and safe operations.
• Identify, diagnose, and fix mechanical, electrical, and cooling system malfunctions within the chillers.
• Carry out system enhancements and alterations to enhance performance or meet updated regulatory requirements.
• Maintain detailed logs of maintenance tasks, repairs, and system upgrades, ensuring records are complete and easily accessible.
• Follow all safety guidelines rigorously during repair and maintenance activities, performing safety checks to confirm compliance.
• Offer technical assistance and guidance to colleagues and departments, including training for new technicians.
• Be prepared to respond promptly to emergency maintenance needs beyond standard working hours.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent, with preference given to candidates holding technical certifications or training in HVAC, refrigeration, or related disciplines.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in servicing chiller systems or comparable mechanical equipment.
• Proficient mechanical and electrical aptitude, capable of understanding technical schematics and operational manuals.
• Strong skills in problem-solving and diagnostics.
• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and safety standards.
• Good verbal and written communication abilities for effective documentation and teamwork.
