Overview
Qatar Airways is seeking a dedicated Technical Training Instructor to join their technical training department based in Doha, Qatar. This role involves crafting and delivering technical training programs, evaluating their effectiveness, and mentoring staff to ensure comprehensive knowledge and readiness for their designated roles.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, review, and update training materials incorporating the latest regulatory standards and company policies to keep training content current.
- Prepare and facilitate learning sessions for associate training courses.
- Evaluate trainees' performance at both individual subject and overall course levels to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Develop and revise educational resources including notes and presentations for QCAR Part 66 basic modules (Module 9 and Module 10) along with Part 145 training modules.
- Create and validate examination questions to maintain a robust question bank for scheduled training assessments.
- Serve as an examiner or invigilator for examinations, adhering strictly to procedural standards to ensure assessment integrity.
- Assess trainee progress continually, recommending supplemental training when necessary.
- Maintain required instructor and examiner certifications aligned with regulatory and organizational mandates.
- Identify and communicate training challenges and suggest enhancements to supervisors aimed at improving overall training quality.
- Accurately document training activities and certification in the training management system to ensure efficient processing.
- Perform additional departmental responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department.
Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of high school, vocational diploma, or equivalent with at least 4 years of relevant work experience; or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of related professional experience.
- Successful completion of a Train the Trainer certification course.
- Certification in EASA/QCAR Part 66 Basic Training, specifically Modules 9 and 10.
- Fluency in English sufficient to effectively deliver training on QCAR Part 66 Modules and Part 145 courses.
