About Notion
Notion is an innovative collaborative AI workspace that integrates knowledge, projects, meetings, and AI tools in one place to enhance team productivity and reduce fragmented workflows. Hundreds of thousands of individuals and companies rely on Notion for their work. Our employees, known as Notinos, are pioneers in shaping the future of work, focusing on quality craftsmanship and human-centered innovation rather than simply launching the next feature. Our vision is to transform how people work together in the AI era by building sustainable solutions that automate mundane tasks and amplify meaningful work.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Recruiter specializing in early career hiring who is passionate about designing new, creative methods for sourcing and developing emerging talent. This role involves spearheading the entire early career recruitment strategy, including programs for internships, new graduate hiring, and pipelines for candidates with zero to two years of experience. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Design, Sales, and People teams.
The position is based in San Francisco, with mandatory in-office attendance on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, known as Anchor Days, to foster in-person collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop inventive early career recruitment programs that are sustainable and distinctly aligned with Notion's culture.
- Explore innovative talent sourcing channels beyond traditional campus recruiting, such as communities, hackathons, open-source projects, and AI-driven sourcing tools.
- Create thoughtful evaluation frameworks emphasizing candidates' thinking, learning, and creativity rather than only existing knowledge.
- Collaborate with Communications, Design, and People teams to build and showcase a compelling employer brand across multiple platforms and events.
- Empower hiring managers and interviewers through coaching to assess early career candidates fairly, meticulously, and effectively.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- At least 2 years of recruiting experience with significant involvement in early career, university, or program-based hiring.
- An innovative mindset focused on creating and building programs rather than managing existing structures.
- Curiosity and a willingness to experiment with novel sourcing, assessment, and candidate engagement techniques.
- Strong understanding of how employer branding and candidate experience influence trust and perception.
- Ability to strategize and execute recruitment plans efficiently.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities with candidates, hiring teams, and cross-functional partners.
- Data-driven approach for decision making and identifying trends and effective practices.
Preferred Assets
- Experience in designing early career hiring programs from the ground up.
- Familiarity with unconventional sourcing or evaluation methods and insights gained from these experiments.
- Knowledge of the early career talent landscape specifically in engineering and technical roles.
- Passion for and familiarity with Notion as a product.
Compensation & Benefits
Notion offers competitive salary, equity, and benefits packages. For San Francisco or New York City positions, the expected base compensation range is $135,000 to $151,000 annually. Final offers depend on location, role complexity, and candidate experience.
Additional Information
Notion is committed to equal opportunity employment and invites applications from qualified individuals from diverse backgrounds. Candidates do not need to meet every qualification bullet to be encouraged to apply. Reasonable accommodations are provided during the hiring process upon request.
About AI at Notion
While deep AI expertise is not mandatory for this role, all employees are expected to be intellectually curious and embrace AI as a collaborative tool to enhance their work.
