About Freeform
Freeform develops cutting-edge AI-driven manufacturing systems that integrate software, hardware, and physics to enable industrial-scale production of parts at the speed of human imagination. By viewing manufacturing as a unified system, the company pioneers innovations that allow complex hardware to be designed, manufactured, and scaled without boundaries.
Role Overview
We seek a driven Technical Recruiter to play an essential part in assembling the team behind the world’s most advanced metal 3D printing technology. The role involves full lifecycle recruiting activities from sourcing to onboarding top technical talent. Collaborating closely with team members and leadership, you will implement improvements to hiring processes aimed at boosting innovation, efficiency, and quality standards. Recruiting responsibilities cover a vast spectrum including deep technical, operational, leadership roles, and programmatic efforts such as university and internship recruitment. The ideal candidate embodies a can-do attitude without ego, a mission-focused mindset, and strong teamwork orientation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment: sourcing, screening, conducting onsite interviews, facilitating interview debriefs, handling offer management, and closing candidates.
- Deliver a personalized, high-engagement experience for candidates and internal teams while ensuring a healthy pipeline and focusing on critical, challenging technical positions.
- Engage with peers and leadership to review headcount planning, requisitions, recruitment strategies, and interview feedback to evolve hiring approaches.
- Drive talent acquisition initiatives like organizing technical talks, participating in external networking events, and exploring innovative channels to attract top talent.
- Partner on employer branding efforts and recruitment campaigns.
- Utilize data analytics and metrics to identify opportunities for enhancing recruitment effectiveness and raising hiring standards.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of one year experience recruiting technical talent in software, machine learning, mechanical, electrical engineering, or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior in-house recruiting experience is strongly favored.
- Three or more years of technical recruitment experience.
- Background recruiting for startups or deep technology companies.
- Track record with executive search or managing low-volume, difficult-to-fill roles.
- Experience presenting equity or stock option packages during offer stages.
- Resourceful and results-driven approach without relying on large budgets or established infrastructures.
- Comfort engaging directly with senior leaders including directors, VPs, and C-suite technical executives.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple projects, adapt quickly, and shift priorities effectively.
- High resilience to ambiguity and working in a fast-evolving environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Work Location
- The role is based onsite in Freeform’s advanced 35,000 sq ft facility located in Hawthorne, Los Angeles, positioned centrally with easy freeway access.
- Work culture emphasizes fast-paced collaboration; full-time in-person attendance is required with very limited exceptions.
What We Offer
- An inclusive environment celebrating diversity, teamwork, continuous learning, and data-informed decision making.
- A unique opportunity to be an early integral member of a rapidly scaling company developing transformative technology.
- Comprehensive benefits including employer-paid Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance with PPO and HMO options.
- Life insurance coverage.
- Traditional and Roth 401(k) retirement plans.
- Paid vacation, sick leave, company holidays, and generous parental leave with extended support for new parents.
- Daily complimentary catered meals and a fully stocked kitchen area.
- Casual dress code, flexible working hours, and regular catered team-building activities.
Compensation
The salary band for this position is broad ($75,000 to $150,000) reflecting varying levels of experience, education, and demonstrated skills. Compensation is designed to be competitive with the company’s growth stage and offers significant stock option packages.
Equal Opportunity Statement
