Role Overview
As a Technical Business Analyst - Cyber within the Enterprise Technology Services team, you will play a key role in driving strategic cyber security initiatives that enhance the organisation's technology environment and support its growth objectives. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Program Delivery, you will act as a vital link between business stakeholders, cyber security experts, and technology delivery teams across various cyber transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teams in cyber security, architecture, risk, compliance, and business units to collect, analyze, and document requirements for key cyber initiatives.
- Lead workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to clarify business challenges and explore solution possibilities.
- Convert business and security needs into actionable user stories, process flows, use cases, functional specs, and acceptance criteria.
- Assess current and future business processes with a focus on enhancing security, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
- Assist with cyber risk evaluations, control audits, and compliance efforts to align solutions with regulatory standards and organisational policies.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to ensure clear requirements understanding and successful solution delivery.
- Support the development of business cases, impact analyses, implementation plans, and governance documentation.
- Participate in testing phases, including UAT and defect management, ensuring deliverables meet both business and security goals.
- Contribute to change management efforts including preparing documentation, communication plans, and training materials.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst, Technical BA, or Cyber Subject Matter Expert in banking, financial services, or consulting sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of technology delivery and business analysis across Agile and Waterfall frameworks.
- Experience with cyber security projects, technology transformations, or risk management.
- Familiarity with payment systems, banking technologies, or regulated environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence varied technical and non-technical audiences.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and Atlassian tools.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and technical documentation skills.
- Ability to simplify complex cyber and technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise cyber security programs.
- Certifications like BABOK, CCBA, or CBAP.
- Understanding of cyber risk frameworks, governance approaches, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with enterprise identity management, cloud environments, or infrastructure technologies.
