Their products support steel plants, foundries, forge shops, and testing laboratories across India in maintaining stringent quality benchmarks.

Role Summary

This position is for a Technical Associate in Production & Field Operations, ideally with an Electrical or Mechanical ITI certification. The role encompasses tasks ranging from shop-floor assembly and quality assurance to vendor coordination in Kolkata, and field-level equipment installation and servicing at client sites in Eastern India, including Odisha, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh.

Key Duties

  • Support assembly, wiring, mechanical fitting, and initial testing of laboratory instruments within the factory.
  • Carry out in-house quality inspections and calibration before shipment.
  • Maintain production documentation, equipment testing checklists, and inventory tracking electronically.
  • Coordinate with local vendors and suppliers in Kolkata for procurement, inspections, and job progress monitoring.
  • Ensure vendor components meet specified mechanical and electrical standards.
  • Conduct site visits to client locations for installation, commissioning, demonstrations, servicing, and troubleshooting.
  • Work alongside client QA and engineering teams during commissioning phases.
  • Prepare detailed service and site visit reports including customer feedback.
  • Manage both digital and paper-based technical documentation and reporting using MS Word and Excel.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Educational requirement: ITI certified in Electrical or Mechanical trades, recognized by NCVT or SCVT.
  • Experience: 0–3 years in instrument assembly, electrical panel wiring, mechanical fabrication, or field servicing. Fresh graduates with practical skills are encouraged.
  • Proficient in basic computer use including Windows OS, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings, mechanical assembly plans, and electrical circuit diagrams.
  • Willingness to travel extensively on short notice across Eastern India for site assignments.

Work Environment & Compensation

  • Primary work location is Kolkata with visits to factory, office, and vendor workshops.
  • Travel allowances, lodging, and daily allowances for outstation trips are fully reimbursed as per company policy.
  • Monthly salary range: INR 12,500 to 16,000 depending on skills and experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving aptitude to address wiring and mechanical alignment issues onsite.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with vendors and industrial clients in metallurgical QA contexts.
  • Adaptability to switch environments between factory settings, workshops, and client industrial plants.
