About Matter Health

Matter Health provides primary and preventive care directly to older adults who live in affordable housing communities. The organization’s focus is to make healthcare easier to access by meeting people in their own communities and building dependable, long-term relationships. As the company grows quickly, it is seeking people who want to make a real difference while helping assemble strong teams.

Total Healthcare. Where you live.

About the Role

Matter Health is hiring a relationship-oriented Recruiter to support its continued expansion and help bring in high-quality talent. This role owns the end-to-end recruiting process for clinical, operational, and corporate positions and works closely with hiring managers to develop strong teams.

You will help shape the candidate journey, create thoughtful sourcing approaches, and act as a dependable partner to the Talent Acquisition function throughout hiring. The role also offers the chance to influence recruiting processes and build the foundation of Talent Acquisition as the organization scales.

The ideal person is organized, proactive, collaborative, and energized by connecting skilled professionals with meaningful work.

What You’ll Do

  • Run recruiting from the initial intake discussion through offer acceptance for clinical, operational, and corporate openings.
  • Work hand-in-hand with hiring managers to clarify needs, design recruiting plans, and keep them informed at every stage.
  • Find both active and passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, networking, job boards, and other inventive sourcing channels.
  • Screen applications, assess qualifications, and conduct recruiter phone and video interviews.
  • Schedule interviews and help ensure candidates have a smooth, professional, and positive experience.
  • Create and nurture talent pipelines for both immediate and future hiring needs.
  • Keep recruiting records, candidate information, and workflow details accurate in the applicant tracking system.
  • Track hiring metrics such as pipeline strength, source performance, interview-to-offer conversion, and time to fill.
  • Support employer branding, recruiting marketing, networking events, and career fairs.
  • Work with People Operations on onboarding so new hires move seamlessly from candidate to employee.
  • Look for opportunities to improve recruiting workflows, hiring processes, and the overall experience for candidates and hiring managers.

Success in the Role

First 90 days: Learn the recruiting process, company culture, and hiring approach; build strong relationships with hiring managers; get comfortable with Ashby ATS, recruiting workflows, and sourcing tools; begin independently managing open roles while maintaining a strong candidate experience.

Within 6 months: Manage a full requisition load across clinical, operational, and corporate roles; build proactive pipelines for hard-to-fill positions; become a trusted advisor to hiring managers; and identify improvements to workflows, sourcing, and candidate experience.

Within 12 months: Deliver consistently strong candidate and hiring manager experiences; improve results through metrics and process optimization; support Talent Acquisition scaling into new communities and markets; and serve as a reliable partner to People Operations in the organization’s long-term growth.

Qualifications - Required

  • At least 3 years of full-cycle recruiting experience.
  • Background recruiting for healthcare, operations, corporate, or other professional roles.
  • Experience sourcing passive candidates with LinkedIn Recruiter or a similar platform.
  • Hands-on use of an applicant tracking system to manage workflows and candidate pipelines.
  • Strong interviewing, relationship-building, organizational, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to juggle multiple open requisitions at once while staying highly detail-oriented.
  • Direct experience partnering with hiring managers during the recruiting process.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior healthcare recruiting experience.
  • Experience with Ashby ATS.
  • Background in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, recruiting best practices, and equal employment opportunity standards.
