Role overview
The Wellington Tribunals Unit is seeking a Support Officer to provide reliable administrative backing in a busy, service-oriented environment. This role is central to keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly and ensuring that both internal teams and external stakeholders receive timely, accurate information.
We are looking for someone who is organised, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-moving setting. The ideal candidate will be calm under pressure, communicate clearly, and take ownership of tasks while delivering efficient, high-quality support.
Key accountabilities
- Handle a varied and high-volume workload while maintaining strong service standards.
- Act as a key point of contact for information exchange with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the smooth running of everyday administrative operations.
- Work proactively to solve problems and contribute to effective team performance.
Skills and experience required
- Practical experience in general office administration, including use of standard office equipment.
- Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project 2000, and Access.
- Hands-on exposure to accounts processing and purchasing tasks.
- Ability to support or work within facilities management responsibilities.
- Strong frontline customer service and stakeholder support capability.
- A professional, patient, and dependable approach in pressured situations.

Salary
The salary range for this position is NZD 56,343 to NZD 74,416, depending on relevant skills and experience.
