Role Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable Supply Planning Manager to assist the Head of Supply Chain in directing a cohesive supply planning and Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) workflow. This role focuses on harmonizing demand, supply, and operational capabilities to enhance forecast precision, stock availability, operational productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Guide and advance the S&OP process continually.
- Evaluate demand, inventory, and supply data to sustain optimal stock quantities.
- Manage forecasts that account for promotions, seasonal variations, product launches, and discontinued SKUs.
- Track performance metrics such as OTIF, forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and distribution expenses.
- Address and resolve supply and demand challenges involving customers and suppliers.
- Coordinate planning efforts among Sales, Commercial, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
- Lead and support teams responsible for supply and demand planning.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with customers, suppliers, and logistics stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in supply planning, demand forecasting, inventory control, or S&OP.
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities coupled with effective problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with excellent prioritization capabilities.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Resilient, adaptable, and customer-oriented mindset.
- Ability to communicate and build relationships across organizational levels.
- Possesses GCSEs in Mathematics and English or equivalent qualifications.
Familiarity with Sage or comparable ERP systems is a plus.
