Role Overview
The Supply Chain & Logistics Manager will lead and manage comprehensive supply chain functions across the MENA region. This includes planning, procurement, inventory oversight, warehousing, transportation, and distribution, leveraging SAP modules (MM, WM/EWM, SD) to enhance operational processes, support growth, and ensure cost efficiency and high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement regional supply chain strategies in line with corporate goals.
- Oversee entire supply chain activities, covering demand forecasting, inventory control, procurement coordination, warehouse management, and logistics execution.
- Track supply chain performance metrics and drive continuous process improvements.
- Maintain supply reliability while managing inventory levels to avoid overstocking.
- Manage transportation and distribution operations across multiple MENA countries.
- Liaise with third-party logistics providers, freight forwarders, and transport partners to ensure seamless operations.
- Guarantee timely product delivery meeting defined service commitments.
- Optimize freight expenses, warehouse space utilization, and logistics workflows.
- Ensure data integrity, compliance with processes, and maximize system efficiency.
- Define and uphold inventory control policies, monitoring stock accuracy.
- Ensure warehouse compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote improvements in warehouse efficiency and workforce productivity.
- Collaborate closely with procurement to ensure timely sourcing and inventory replenishment.
- Review supplier performance and develop plans to enhance vendor relationships.
- Support negotiation efforts to achieve cost reductions and supply chain improvements.
- Work in cooperation with Sales, Finance, Procurement, Operations, and Customer Service departments.
- Deliver regular, detailed reports on supply chain status, risk factors, and enhancement opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on operational excellence.
- Ensure adherence to regional trade laws, customs regulations, and internal policies.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks proactively.
- Maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) and quality management standards throughout operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or similar discipline.
- Master’s Degree or professional supply chain certifications such as CSCP, CPIM, CPSM, or CILT are advantageous.
- Extensive experience of 10 to 12 years in Supply Chain and Logistics roles.
- At least 3 to 5 years in managing regional supply chain operations within the MENA region.
- Strong expertise in SAP ERP systems with comprehensive functional knowledge.
- Demonstrated capability in overseeing warehouses, transportation, inventory management, and distribution channels.
- Background in technology or manufacturing sectors preferred.
