Role Summary
The Supply Chain Coordinator Level II is responsible for overseeing comprehensive supply chain planning by employing statistical tools, planning systems, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize inventory and synchronize supply with demand. This role monitors supply chain performance, enhances inventory accuracy, manages supplier performance, and ensures supply chain stability while meeting customer expectations and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct supply and demand analyses over a 12-month horizon to identify risks, limitations, and opportunities.
- Assist in formulating and executing detailed demand, supply, and inventory plans aligning with customer and company requirements.
- Track irregular demand trends, inventory variations, and supply schedule cues, implementing corrective measures as necessary.
- Maintain and optimize inventory planning parameters such as minimum/maximum levels, reorder points, tracking signals, and segmentation settings.
- Perform planning simulations, evaluate their impact on key metrics, and deliver comprehensive reports with recommendations.
- Supervise inventory levels, collaborating with stakeholders to minimize surplus and obsolete stock while sustaining service levels.
- Enhance customer fulfillment rates and reduce backorders through effective planning and coordination.
- Support material planning and procurement activities involving local suppliers.
- Monitor supplier metrics such as On-Time Delivery (OTD) and overdue deliveries, partnering with suppliers to foster improvements.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to meet operational and customer demands.
- Apply Plan for Every Part (PFEP) methodology to streamline material flow and inventory management.
- Analyze supply chain KPIs to recognize improvement areas and aid decision-making.
- Prepare executive and operational reports utilizing planning tools, Excel, and Power BI.
- Utilize materials planning systems and analytical tools for root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies, quality standards, and procedural documentation requirements.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives targeting quality, safety, efficiency, and material flow.
- Promote operational excellence by optimizing processes and leveraging data-driven decisions.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders; foster teamwork.
- Lead or assist a small team, managing daily planning activities as required.
- Complete mandatory training and pursue continuous professional development aligned with organizational goals.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
- Capability to handle complex information and make sound decisions under fast-paced conditions.
- Knowledge of materials planning systems and supply chain planning processes.
- Understanding of inventory management, demand forecasting, and supply optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with PFEP principles and supply chain material flow concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including interpreting supply chain KPIs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Power BI and other reporting tools is advantageous.
- Ability to drive results, streamline processes, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in managing small teams.
Experience Requirements
- Relevant experience in supply chain planning, material planning, procurement, logistics, or related areas.
- Intermediate competency developed through professional experience, training, or on-the-job learning.
- Experience interacting with suppliers and managing inventory and demand/supply planning preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP or materials planning systems considered a plus.
- Previous experience supervising or coordinating a team of approximately 5–6 individuals preferred.
Educational Qualifications
- Minimum education: high school diploma, secondary education certificate, or equivalent.
- Additional qualifications in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Business, or related disciplines are preferred.
Work Conditions
- On-site employment based at Phaltan, Maharashtra, India.
- Full-time position requiring office presence with flexibility.
