Stylist (LA)

Role overview

Catbird is looking for a part-time Stylist in Los Angeles who can act as a brand ambassador, create memorable service moments, and help turn shopping into a strong sales experience. In this position, you will guide customers toward everyday demi-fine jewelry, carry out Forever Jewelry welding, and perform device-based ear piercings with accuracy, care, and confidence. The role is important to conversion, relationship-building, and representing Catbird’s values on the sales floor.

Location and schedule

This position requires flexibility to work across both LA stores: Culver City and Larchmont Village. Part-time availability is needed, and Saturday plus Sunday availability is mandatory.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a polished, service-led shopping experience that turns interest into purchases and encourages repeat business
• Confidently sell Catbird’s demi-fine jewelry collection by matching pieces to each customer’s style, lifestyle, and budget
• Carry out device-based ear piercings while explaining jewelry choices, aftercare, and upgrade options
• Perform Forever Jewelry welding while engaging shoppers and recommending complementary items
• Share guidance on materials, craftsmanship, fit, styling, and care to strengthen customer trust
• Keep the store looking premium by maintaining stock, cleanliness, and an inviting visual presentation
• Support day-to-day operations such as receiving, pricing, replenishment, merchandising, and inventory upkeep
• Partner with store leadership and teammates to achieve sales targets and service expectations

Candidate profile

• Retail sales experience with strong instincts for customer service; jewelry background is a plus
• Comfort with hands-on services such as device-based piercing and welding after training
• Calm, welcoming, and self-assured when handling personal services
• Driven by sales and by helping customers select pieces they will wear often
• Reliable, upbeat, and cooperative in a team setting
• Highly organized and attentive to detail, with pride in maintaining an attractive store
• Ability to meet the physical demands of retail work, including long periods of standing, light lifting, reaching, and repetitive wrist and hand movements; reasonable accommodations can be discussed

Compensation

This role includes commission in addition to base pay.
