Role Overview
This contract opportunity is for an experienced management and strategy consultant who can apply high-caliber advisory methods to challenging business situations. The work focuses on helping develop and improve decision-making scenarios used to test intelligent systems for next-generation automation.
Compensation and Workload
The engagement pays $100 per hour and is expected to require at least 10 hours each week. The role is fully remote and based in Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and assess complex business situations involving multiple stakeholders, including market entry, competitive strategy, and operational planning, to benchmark and strengthen automated reasoning systems.
- Prepare detailed business cases, go-to-market plans, and opportunity evaluations using established consulting approaches.
- Convert large, multi-document inputs into clear outputs such as executive memos, presentations, and quantitative analyses.
- Develop and pressure-test strategic models, including planning simulations and sensitivity checks, to reveal uncommon or difficult edge cases for evaluation.
- Set meaningful KPIs and stakeholder alignment structures that reflect real advisory work.
- Support an ongoing research workflow by improving scenario quality based on feedback and changing evaluation needs.
Core Requirements
- Experience from a leading management consultancy, such as MBB or a Big 4/5 firm, with work across strategy, operations, or corporate transformation.
- Ability to turn ambiguous business problems into practical frameworks independently.
- Strong command of Excel-based financial or strategic modeling and PowerPoint presentation development at a client-ready level.
- Excellent business writing skills with the ability to produce concise memos and board-level narratives.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, iterative research setting where priorities can shift.
Additional Strengths
- Exposure to technology, SaaS, or platform-based business models is considered an advantage.
- Experience building evaluation rubrics, decision trees, or other structured analytical tools is a plus.
