Role Overview

Within Aecon’s Civil East sector, known for heavy civil construction expertise, the Storekeeper will be based at the site in Barbados. Reporting to the Plant Supervisor, the role entails managing the receipt, storage, tracking, and distribution of tools and equipment, ensuring these items are properly maintained and accessible, primarily working in an outdoor setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and accurately log the quantity, type, and location of tools and parts.
  • Manage requisitions and distribute tools and equipment to users, maintaining precise records of allocation.
  • Ensure tools are maintained appropriately.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and resolve any inventory variances.
  • Follow safety protocols pertaining to tool handling and storage.
  • Maintain detailed records of all inventory activities such as deliveries, returns, and adjustments.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Post-secondary certificate in Office Administration or a related discipline is beneficial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, with the capability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Adaptability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
