SKIMS is a purpose-led brand focused on modern underwear, loungewear, and shapewear. The company is seeking a Store Leader for its Fashion Outlets of Chicago location in Rosemont, IL. This role is based in the Retail - Central & Outlet department and offers a salary range of $89,000 to $110,000 per year.
As the Store Leader, you will shape the store’s performance, build a high-performing team, and lead with a people-first approach. The position calls for strong product passion, sound operational judgment, and the ability to coach in the moment while keeping service elevated, polished, and efficient. You will work closely with headquarters to support store goals, business execution, and brand alignment.
What the role involves
You will be responsible for creating a store environment that feels energetic, refined, and customer-focused. Success in this position depends on developing talent, managing business metrics, keeping operations organized, and ensuring the SKIMS brand experience is consistently delivered on the floor.
Responsibilities
- Set the standard for a customer-first shopping experience by guiding Team Members to deliver warm, personalized, and inclusive service.
- Coach in real time on the sales floor to improve customer engagement, conversion, and service quality during busy periods.
- Bring the brand mission and values into daily store execution and make sure Team Members understand the product and the SKIMS story.
- Maintain strong day-to-day operations, including visual presentation, replenishment, merchandising, and overall store standards.
- Monitor and manage business performance areas such as P&L, payroll, inventory, and productivity, and adjust actions based on trends.
- Use strong judgment and the right tools to make timely decisions that support both customer experience and performance results.
- Stay solution-oriented, adaptable, and open to feedback while encouraging continuous improvement across the team.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain strong talent to strengthen store culture and support long-term performance.
- Create development plans, give meaningful coaching, and help Team Members grow into future roles.
- Communicate clearly and consistently to build accountability, teamwork, and respect within the store.
- Partner with HQ support teams to align on strategy, feedback, and new initiatives that affect store success.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of leadership experience.
- Proven success in hiring, leading, and developing retail teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with others and collaborate closely.
- Strong understanding of customer service and the ability to deliver excellent service consistently.
- Solid problem-solving skills and a willingness to adapt as needs change.
- Strong operational and organizational capability.
- Strong visual merchandising ability and attention to detail.
- Must be able to remain active, stand, and move throughout the entire scheduled shift.
- Must be able to bend, reach, stretch, and lift, carry, or move items up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Not interested in being an influencer.
- Full-time open availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
