Position Overview

The Stockroom Assistant is responsible for overseeing the effective rotation and management of merchandise within the stockroom in adherence to company standards. This role supports the Stockroom Manager in handling daily stockroom and store operations while collaborating with the Sales Assistant to enhance sales activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safeguard products ensuring protection aligns with company directives.
  • Manage daily operations concerning receipt, storage, and preparation of merchandise for the sales floor and specified sections, optimizing timing and efficiency.
  • Ensure shop-to-shop and product return transfers comply with company rules and schedules.
  • Handle e-commerce order flow from Prada.com and other retailers, maintaining required service levels when applicable.
  • Oversee management of special stock categories such as damaged goods, items on hold, consignment, and those under repair.
  • Administer packaging, stationery, display systems, uniforms, and gift processes within IT systems.
  • Guarantee proper product protection and packaging within the store and for transfers, including e-commerce shipments.
  • Follow company protocols regarding theft, ensuring appropriate communication and documentation.
  • Promptly investigate system discrepancies or negatives.
  • Maintain accurate product flow records and related documentation within IT systems.
  • Plan and conduct physical and cycle inventories of finished products and accessory locations, including packaging and engineering materials, adhering to company timelines.
  • Organize stock with a commercial focus to prioritize best sellers and new launches for higher visibility and accessibility.
  • Manage stockroom activities related to sales support.
  • Maintain security and cleanliness standards in the stockroom.
  • Coordinate with external providers as required.
  • Regularly update and organize archives on a monthly basis.
  • Gain product knowledge across all categories to assist Client Advisors during sales and collaborate with the Visual Merchandising team when needed.
  • Implement KPIs, guidelines, and company procedures as directed by Store Operations Management or Headquarters.
