Position Overview
Working as a Stockperson/Cartpusher at Walmart Canada offers an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills in the retail sector. The role involves retrieving shopping carts from designated areas such as cart corrals, parking lots, and the store perimeter, and safely returning them to storage, while providing outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect shopping carts from cart corrals, parking areas, and store perimeter, returning them securely using approved Walmart procedures and completing required logs.
- Promptly respond to register requests by assisting customers with carrying items in or out and verifying purchase receipts.
- Conduct occasional cleaning and upkeep of restrooms following guidelines for chemical handling, waste disposal, and use of power equipment, including completing inspection reports before use.
- Comply with safety and emergency protocols, including hazardous communication, lockout/tagout procedures, and protection against blood borne pathogens.
- Maintain accurate Cart Retrieval Logs at the Customer Service Desk.
- Contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free workplace by adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Promote safety by wearing personal protective equipment such as steel-toe footwear and high-visibility reflective vests during cart collection.
- Perform safety inspections as needed to ensure workplace safety.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $17.75.

- Minimum age requirement is 16 years or older.
