Role and Responsibilities
- Oversee comprehensive statutory compliance processes across the organization.
- Ensure strict adherence to applicable labour laws and governmental regulations.
- Manage statutory obligations including Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), Gratuity, Bonus, Professional Tax, Labour Welfare Fund, among others.
- Maintain and update labour licences and other required statutory registrations.
- Prepare, maintain, and validate statutory records and registers with precision.
- Support and coordinate audit activities including internal, external, and statutory audits.
- Ensure punctual filing of statutory returns and compilation of compliance reports.
- Act as liaison with government bodies, consultants, and auditors as necessary.
- Develop compliance Management Information System (MIS) reports and tracking tools using advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
- Monitor critical compliance timelines ensuring full observance of statutory mandates.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in statutory compliance and labour law management.
- Thorough familiarity with PF, ESIC, Gratuity, labour licences, bonus, professional tax, and connected statutory compliances.
- Proven experience managing statutory audits and related documentation.
- Comprehensive understanding of labour laws and regulatory frameworks.
- High proficiency in advanced MS Excel features such as VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis, MIS reporting.
- Strong skills in documentation, analytical thinking, and coordination.
- Capability to work autonomously while managing diverse compliance responsibilities.
