Role Overview

The Startup Program & Experience Lead is accountable for guiding startup customers through their onboarding and trial phases to ensure successful adoption and engagement with Notion’s platform. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to craft scalable programs that enhance startup activation, engagement, conversion, and retention within their region.

Responsibilities

• Enhance startup onboarding, lifecycle engagement, and retention metrics across regional startups.
• Design and maintain scalable onboarding programs and customer lifecycle initiatives tailored to startups.
• Develop educational and engagement experiences to accelerate value realization for startup users.
• Diagnose and remove obstacles in the startup customer journey to improve satisfaction and outcomes.
• Contribute to executing regional campaigns, events, and ecosystem programs targeted at startups.
• Monitor and analyze key program metrics such as customer engagement and operational performance to drive improvements in conversion rates and annual recurring revenue.
• Build automated frameworks, including scorecards, to identify high-potential startups and offer a personalized customer experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in program management, customer success, growth operations, or roles focused on startup ecosystems.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in fast-paced settings.
• Deep customer empathy paired with an operational and data-driven approach.
• Comfortable collaborating across multiple departments including Marketing, Product, Partnerships, and Customer Success.
• Ability to analyze data for patterns and improvement opportunities within customer journeys.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Curiosity and willingness to adopt AI tools to enhance productivity and outcomes, though deep AI expertise is not mandatory.

Preferred Experience

• Background working with startups or within startup ecosystems.
• Familiarity with onboarding, lifecycle, or customer engagement program management.
• Exposure to product-led growth business models.
• Experience developing scalable operational processes or customer programs.
• Passion for AI, productivity technology, and evolving workplace dynamics.

Compensation

Competitive salaried position based on multiple factors including location and candidate qualifications. Estimated base salary range for San Francisco roles is from $140,000 to $205,000 per year.

Work Location and Schedule

This full-time position requires onsite presence in San Francisco on designated anchor days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) to foster collaborative culture.
