Role Overview
This opportunity is for a Staff Corporate Events Manager position based in the United States, focused on leading impactful corporate and customer-centric events within a rapidly expanding technology company. The role involves ownership of strategic planning, coordination, and execution of flagship internal and external events that enhance company culture, recognize achievements, and engage global audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of major internal flagship events such as annual meetings, sales kickoffs, and recognition ceremonies.
- Create detailed event strategies including timelines, budgets, vendor management, logistics, production quality, participant experience, and post-event evaluation.
- Collaborate closely with executive teams, sales, marketing, customer service, and operational departments to align events with organizational goals.
- Manage external-facing conferences and community events encompassing agenda planning, speaker liaison, registration processes, sponsorship management, branding, and participant engagement.
- Coordinate incentive travel programs involving destination selection, vendor contracts, travel plans, activity organization, and premium experience delivery.
- Assist with major industry events by organizing vendor support, booth logistics, executive participation, and onsite event operations.
- Oversee event budgets, negotiate contracts, maintain vendor relations, and enforce cost controls while ensuring high-quality event production.
- Develop scalable processes, documentation, and project management tools to improve efficiency across all event initiatives.
- Provide consistent updates to senior leadership, communicate risks and key decisions clearly, and foster alignment throughout event development stages.
- Gather feedback, perform event performance analysis, and implement improvements to future programs.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience managing corporate events, conferences, experiential marketing, or related fields, particularly handling large-scale event programs.
- Demonstrated ability to strategize and execute multi-day internal events such as sales kickoffs and executive meetings.
- Proven track record in organizing customer-oriented conferences, user summits, or community gatherings with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in administering incentive travel programs with strong vendor negotiation, logistical coordination, and providing premium attendee services.
- Advanced project management skills capable of handling concurrent workstreams, deadlines, budgets, and diverse stakeholders.
- Expertise in vendor relationship management, contract negotiations, and coordination with venues, hotels, production teams, and service providers.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational aptitude, and proactive communication.
- Skillful in managing executive-level stakeholders, balancing competing priorities, and driving decisions under ambiguity.
- Ability to work remotely with willingness to travel regularly for event execution, inspections, and group meetings.
- Strong verbal and written communication for clear presentation of updates and strategic suggestions.
- Experience in cybersecurity, business-to-business SaaS, or fast-paced technology sectors is advantageous.
- Familiarity with event management software such as Cvent, Splash, or Eventbrite preferred.
- Knowledge of integrating event programs with CRM and marketing automation platforms is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range between $170,100 and $210,000 USD depending on location, experience, and qualifications.
