Role Summary
We are seeking a Software Engineer to develop, scale, and maintain resilient backend and full-stack solutions powering ERP systems managing domains such as product, order, inventory, and last-mile delivery optimization. The role involves working with modern cloud platforms, SaaS products, advanced AI tools, and infrastructure to enhance Sephora’s ecommerce operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement backend services using technologies including Java, Ruby on Rails, and Golang.
- Create microservices, serverless functions, and agentic AI applications specific to ERP functionalities.
- Contribute to projects delivering novel ecommerce features and capabilities.
- Lead engineering efforts to boost system reliability, performance, and developer experience.
- Engage in on-call rotations resolving issues and production incidents promptly.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3 years of backend or full-stack software development experience with strong engineering fundamentals.
- Proactive, curious, motivated, and collaborative team player.
- Commitment to building innovative, high-quality applications.
- Proficient with frameworks like Spring Boot or Ruby on Rails, or equivalent backend frameworks.
- Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud Platform; AWS or Azure acceptable).
- Practiced in Docker containerization and orchestration.
- Skilled in designing and using REST APIs.
- Familiar with relational and NoSQL database systems.
- Knowledgeable about microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Experienced with Git version control and collaborative development workflows.
