Role Overview

The Social Value Executive will join the Corporate Communications team, contributing to the delivery of the organisation's social value strategy. This role involves crafting engaging stories, managing community funding projects, and supporting charity-related campaigns to highlight Evri's positive impact in local communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the implementation of community funding programs aligned with social value goals and business aims.
• Discover and develop impactful human-interest stories for distribution across internal and external platforms.
• Assist in communications efforts for national charity partnerships and fundraising activities.
• Collaborate with Corporate Communications Managers to plan content for PR, social media, and internal communication channels.
• Cultivate relationships with stakeholders to generate continual newsworthy content.
• Prepare project briefs for internal creative teams and external agencies.
• Administer charitable funding schemes while ensuring compliance, accurate reporting, and tracking.
• Maintain and update channels promoting the social value initiatives.
• Create and coordinate content tailored to varied audiences and mediums.
• Organise and participate in fundraising events to boost engagement and donations.
• Monitor media and social posts, providing analysis and reports.
• Support website content updates and perform general communication tasks.
• Travel to various sites to assist with business events as necessary.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree-qualified or having equivalent relevant experience.
• Previous roles in communications, public relations, social media, or corporate communications.
• Strong passion for social impact, community involvement, and charitable activities.
• Exceptional copywriting, proofreading, and storytelling abilities.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Experience within complex organisational structures is advantageous.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
• Proficient relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Creativity coupled with a proactive mindset to identify compelling stories.
• Strong organisational, planning, and project management competencies.
• Competence in Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
• Familiarity with AI tools like Copilot is a plus.
• Adaptability to shifting business priorities and environments.
