Role Overview
We are seeking a creatively and strategically inclined Social Media Manager to spearhead our social media initiatives, particularly on Instagram and TikTok. This position demands overseeing monthly content plans, daily platform postings, engaging actively with the audience, and maintaining the distinct voice of the brand. Reporting to the VP of Marketing and collaborating closely with the founders, this full-time position is based in Los Angeles and is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling, aesthetics, and the haircare/beauty domain. The role offers growth potential into a director-level position in the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement social media strategies across Instagram and TikTok with structured monthly content calendars.
- Coordinate social media plans with upcoming product launches, brand marketing campaigns, and relevant cultural events.
- Create engaging, brand-aligned copy for all types of posts and social touchpoints.
- Manage daily posts including Instagram feed, Stories, Reels, and TikTok content.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop creative visuals and campaign materials.
- Respond to community comments and direct messages promptly, fostering active engagement.
- Build relationships with content creators, customers, and brands, and reach out to influencers for producing user-generated content and paid advertisements.
- Monitor social media trends, platform algorithm changes, and updates to stay ahead.
- Maintain a consistent and unmistakable brand tone across all social media interactions including posts, comments, and direct messages.
- Analyze social media performance metrics and provide actionable insights with monthly reports to the founders focusing on growth, engagement, and content effectiveness.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Possess between 3 to 5 years of experience managing social media for brand accounts.
- Strong expertise in Instagram and TikTok, particularly understanding what types of content perform well.
- Exceptional copywriting skills with capability to craft a distinctive and uniform brand voice.
- Keen visual sensibility combined with enthusiasm for beauty, haircare, and compelling storytelling.
- Experience working in the beauty or haircare industry will be considered a significant advantage.
- Located in Los Angeles with willingness and ability to work onsite.
- Highly organized, self-driven, and excels in collaborative environments.
