Role Overview
This position is a part-time Social Media Manager role located within the New York City Metropolitan Area, operating in a hybrid format with some on-site responsibilities and an option to work remotely. The main duties involve strategizing, producing, and posting social media content to boost brand visibility and engagement. Regular activities include crafting social media schedules, composing and refining captions, organizing photo and video content production, and optimizing posts according to platform best practices.
The Social Media Manager will also analyze performance data, engage with followers through comments and messages, foster community growth, and collaborate closely with clinical and marketing teams to ensure social media efforts are aligned with broader branding and promotional goals.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in social media marketing and optimization strategies to build and nurture an online audience.
- Strong written and verbal communication capabilities for producing clear, engaging, and brand-consistent content.
- Experience in content planning, including strategizing campaigns and managing editorial calendars.
- Previous experience managing social media for consumer-focused brands, ideally within beauty, wellness, or healthcare sectors.
- Ability to analyze social media metrics, refine tactics accordingly, and prepare performance reports.
- Comfortable working within a hybrid environment that blends on-site collaboration in NYC and independent remote work.
- Familiarity with primary platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube, along with exposure to design or video editing tools, is advantageous.
- Educational background or training in marketing, communications, media, or related fields is considered beneficial.
