Role Overview
The Social Media Handler is a full-time role located in Anantnag with flexible hybrid arrangements allowing some remote work. This position is responsible for managing daily social media postings and scheduling to ensure a steady flow of engaging content that resonates with the organization's goals. Duties include monitoring interactions online, replying to audience comments and messages, and fostering community engagement through prompt and respectful communications. The role also involves producing or coordinating visual and written content, analyzing social media performance data, and recommending enhancements based on current trends and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Manage and schedule daily posts across various social media platforms to maintain consistent and engaging content.
- Monitor and respond to comments and messages to maintain active audience interaction.
- Support community engagement by communicating promptly and respectfully with followers.
- Create or oversee the development of visual and textual content aligned with Athwas's mission.
- Track social media analytics and suggest improvements based on data trends and insights.
- Collaborate with internal teams to plan campaigns and ensure brand consistency.
- Assist in broader communication and outreach efforts as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience in managing and growing social media channels, including content planning and audience engagement.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and inclusive messages.
- Basic knowledge of social media analytics and ability to leverage these insights to boost performance.
- Familiarity with social media management and scheduling tools, with a readiness to learn new platforms and features.
- Strong organizational skills to balance multiple tasks and meet deadlines while working independently and collaboratively.
- A genuine interest in community-centric work and alignment with Athwas’s values and mission.
- Prior experience in social media management, digital communications, or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Education or training in communications, marketing, media, or related disciplines is beneficial.
