Role Overview
We seek a hands-on Social Media and Content Marketing Manager who will take full responsibility for managing the company's digital presence. This role involves owning social media platforms, producing engaging and informative blog content, and delivering a compelling newsletter targeted at logistics leaders. You will personally craft most content, enhance visuals with Canva, edit short videos for social channels, and cultivate a network of influential voices within and outside Flexport to amplify the brand's narrative.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily activities on social media platforms including LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram: create content calendars, author posts, publish updates, engage audiences, and analyze performance data.
- Create and refine blog articles that make complex supply chain topics accessible and engaging, covering thought leadership, customer stories, and product news.
- Oversee the entire newsletter production process, from content selection to writing and distribution.
- Design social media graphics and simple marketing materials using Canva aligned with brand guidelines.
- Edit and format short-form video clips for social channels, including trimming and captioning.
- Develop and nurture a network of influencers internally and externally, supporting internal talent to confidently share insights and collaborating with external industry voices.
- Monitor channel metrics continually and apply insights to enhance future content and campaigns.
Candidate Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in social media management, content marketing, or related fields.
- Excellent written communication skills capable of simplifying dense logistics topics into clear, engaging content.
- Proven expertise in managing owned media channels such as LinkedIn, Twitter/X, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Strong knowledge of social media best practices tailored to each platform's unique requirements.
- Competency in basic graphic design using Canva to create polished, brand-consistent visuals.
- Basic proficiency in video editing to produce short clips with captions without extensive production resources.
- Ability to juggle multiple social channels and meet tight deadlines independently.
- Preferred: Experience in developing creator or influencer programs, or backgrounds in B2B, logistics, or technology sectors.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range in the US for this position spans from $80,000 to $104,000, exclusive of bonus, equity, and other benefits such as medical, dental, and flexible time off. Salary within this range is influenced by role, level, location, skills, and experience.
