Job Overview

The Senior Landscape Engineer position is integral to the QA GEC Supervision division, focusing on overseeing the full spectrum of landscape and public realm projects within the GEC Framework. This role demands strict adherence to project criteria, quality benchmarks, environmental regulations, and client standards, ensuring top-tier execution of all landscape assignments. Collaboration with various professionals is key to maintaining safety and sustainability throughout construction phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead thorough design reviews to confirm alignment with project objectives and specifications.
• Oversee construction activities, performing frequent site inspections to uphold quality and safety protocols.
• Coordinate effectively with subcontractors and suppliers for timely procurement and delivery of resources.
• Work alongside the project team to troubleshoot and innovate solutions for landscape-related challenges.
• Perform detailed inspections and testing to validate compliance with prescribed standards.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, including reports and records related to landscape works.
• Ensure environmental regulation compliance and promote sustainable construction practices.
• Provide clients with consistent progress updates and highlight significant issues.
• Mentor junior engineering staff to encourage skill development and continuous improvement.
• Keep abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the landscape engineering domain.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, or closely related disciplines.
• Bring at least 8 years of experience in landscape design, construction management, and supervision with successful project execution history.
• Competent in landscape design software and CAD applications.
• Deep understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and standard regulations.
• Exhibit strong leadership and communication skills suited for collaborative teamwork.
• Demonstrate capability to independently manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Hold a valid professional engineering license or an equivalent credential.
• Prior experience in large infrastructure projects is advantageous.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles with a dedication to environmental responsibility.
• Available for travel to project locations as necessary.
• Mandatory registration with the MMUP (Qatar's Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning).
